What Is a Glambot?

A Glambot is a fixed slow-motion camera rig that films each guest for a few seconds on a mini red carpet, capturing hair flips, spins, and entrances the way awards-show cameras film celebrities. Instead of walking around the subject like a robotic arm, the Glambot stays in one position and lets the guest perform for it, which makes it a natural fit for entrance moments and styled photo areas.

What Is a Glambot? The Red-Carpet Video Trend Explained

How a Glambot Shoot Works

The setup is simple on the surface: a camera on a stationary rig, a marked spot for the guest to stand on, and a backdrop or red carpet runner behind them. The camera films at a high frame rate, so a two-second spin or hair flip stretches into a slow, dramatic five or six seconds on playback. Lighting is usually set to flatter the subject the way a real red-carpet shot would, with a focused key light and a clean background.

Guests are guided through a quick pose: step up, strike a look, maybe toss a cape or jacket, and walk off. The whole sequence takes under a minute per person, and the finished clip is ready to share almost immediately.

Where It Fits at Saudi Events

Our Glambot activation gets booked most often for weddings, where the bride, groom, or wedding party each get a solo red-carpet moment, and for corporate galas and award nights, where it mirrors the celebrity-style entrance guests already associate with red carpets from TV. Brands also use it at product launches as a styled content station: guests pose with the product for a clip that doubles as organic social content.

It pairs naturally with The Claw for events that want both a moving orbital shot and a fixed red-carpet moment, giving guests two distinct video formats to choose between.

Setting Up a Glambot Station

A Glambot station needs a small dedicated area, roughly 2 by 3 meters, with room for a short runway and the camera rig at the end. Backdrop and runway can be branded or styled to match your event's theme, and our team handles lighting and camera operation so the only thing guests need to do is show up and pose.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a Glambot different from The Claw?

A Glambot camera stays fixed in one position while the guest poses in front of it, similar to a red-carpet photographer. The Claw uses a moving robotic arm that orbits around the guest. Both film in slow motion, but the motion in the final clip comes from the guest with a Glambot and from the camera with The Claw.

How many guests can use the Glambot in an hour?

Typically 30 to 50 guests per hour, depending on how elaborate each pose sequence is.

Can the Glambot station be branded for a corporate event?

Yes, the backdrop, runway, and on-screen branding can all be customized to match your event or company identity.
